Oh no! The enemies soldier  took away the princess!

The soldiers' commander kidnapped the princess to kiss her, your kingdom can't allow that! It's your job to save her! Place your troops and manage your coins and head on to battle.

Troopers is a game we developed for#GMTKJam

The announced theme for this jam was "Built to Scale". We decided to show the different scales there are in our game, the battle is playing in the Toy Scale but you can still interact with the toy environment as the exterior world. 

So, Strategize, Collect coins and Defeat the enemies each wave in order to save the princess... She is waiting for you!

     

Controls: 

Press LMB to interact and place your units and your special power,  THE FIST OF A 10 YEAR-OLD.

Theme:  

The theme  "Built to Scale" doesn't necessitate a change in scale.  The toys are built to scale - their scale don't change. Same with the boy. Each one is built to a different scale. This scale difference and their interactions with one another make it fit the theme. The scale difference of the boy makes his fist a powerful attack in battle as it removes almost all the board with a single attack - due to its scale difference.

I don't really think the game fits the theme. But nonetheless a good game, I ended up finishing it. Right now the dominant strategy is just waiting for the enemy troops to get near your castle and then counter pushing with the 10 cost unit. Consider adding more balancing, like a fast unit, like cavalry, which counters ranged. a triad like tank beats cavalry beats mage beats tank would already make the game so much more interesting
